Project coordinator (work planner) - junior
As a junior project coordinator, you contribute to the preparation of complex, international construction projects. You coordinate production and logistics, work closely with different disciplines, and learn—under guidance—how projects are delivered from preparation through to realisation on site.
 32 - 40 hours hbo
 3351 - 4449 Delft

As a Junior Project Coordinator, you start in an internal role, where you learn the fundamentals of project coordination: aligning internal and external production processes and preparing logistics for the construction phase. You help ensure that everything required is available at the right time.

You work closely with various disciplines within Octatube, including technical draughtspeople, procurement, quality (QMS), logistics, internal production, and suppliers.

You contribute to one or more projects with an international scope and gain insight into how complex, bespoke structures are realised—from internal preparation through to implementation on site.

You will work alongside an experienced Project Coordinator who is responsible for on-site coordination. Through this collaboration, you will learn the fundamentals of the role and gradually gain exposure to the construction phase.

Over time, and depending on your interests and development, you will grow into a more independent role, ultimately coordinating your own projects from A to Z. We are therefore looking for someone with an interest in both preparation and on-site execution.

You will join a team with strong technical expertise, where colleagues challenge each other and where there is room to learn and develop quickly.

What you'll do
  • Coordinating internal and external production and logistics flows towards the construction phase

  • Daily coordination with specialist teams (draughting, procurement, logistics, QMS) and suppliers

  • Monitoring planning and ensuring alignment between materials, transport and execution

  • Identifying deviations and supporting efficient solutions within quality and budget constraints

  • Contributing to one or more projects, often with an international scope

  • Learning what it takes to coordinate projects from preparation through to completion

What you'll bring
  • A higher professional education (hbo or equivalent) in a technical field, preferably in construction

  • A strong interest in complex construction projects and architecture

  • A proactive and eager-to-learn mindset

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to maintain overview

  • Good communication skills in Dutch and/or English

  • Interest in both project preparation and on-site coordination

  • A valid EU work permit

What you'll get
  • A gross monthly salary between €3351 and €4449, depending on your experience

  • Possibility to work from home in consultation, with a home working allowance of €2.45 net per working day

  • A smartphone with subscription

  • 38 days of annual leave based on a 40-hour working week (excluding public holidays)

  • 8% holiday allowance

  • Commuting options via cycling scheme, NS travel card or mileage allowance

  • Extensive learning and development opportunities

  • No formal performance reviews, but automatic salary growth within your scale

  • A challenging role within a collaborative and informal team

Laurence

project coordinator

"The success of a project starts with strong preparation. In the role of Project Coordinator, you connect production, logistics and execution, create overview and learn something new every day. You see up close how a complex project gradually becomes reality."

Your work week

In addition to your daily emails, tasks and calls with, for example, Octatubers from your project team, your working week looks something like this.

Your growth path

As a Junior Project Coordinator at Octatube, you start in an internal role with a focus on production and logistics. From there, you gradually build knowledge and take on more responsibility within projects. You are guided by an experienced Project Coordinator, who introduces you to the on-site coordination. This allows you to understand not only how projects are prepared, but also how they are realised. Over time, you will grow into an independent role in which you are also involved in the construction phase and eventually coordinate your own projects from A to Z. You will shape your development in line with both your interests and Octatube’s projects, supported by your Octa coach and our training opportunities.
